A move to Christchurch in 1988 gave rise to one of the most advanced surfboard factories in New Zealand. Now Exit Surf is the biggest surf hardware distributor in New Zealand with Surftech, Global Surf Industries, Xcel Wetsuits and accessories by Sticky Bumps, Xtrak, Brain Bucket, Surf Co Hawaii.
Exit Surfs online surf store is one of the few online shops managed by a small team of professionals in the surfing industry who not only work in a real surf shop, but also actually surf!
Interaction
The overall goal has been to create a one stop shop for all surfing supplies. The site offers a large range of products from surfing accessories through to the latest boards. A key aspect of the site is it’s direct interaction with the local surf community. Features such as surf reports, profiles of sponsored riders as well as products reviews and photo gallery give visitors an opportunity to get involved in the Exit Surf way of life.

The online store has allow Exit Surf reach outside it’s immediate community and distribute to a much wider audience. Targeted enewsletter campaigns and membership drives have scene significant responses from the community. The site is well know for stocking the best range of surf gear, and since the launch of the site sales has seen sales from throughout the country.
