Assignment
The world’s 2nd largest autism charity, Generation Rescue, offers a unique mentoring service and grant programme. The purpose of the redevelopment was to provide autistic families with support and hope by connecting with other families and health care experts. Vizualise also undertook the rebrand of the organisation and a membership drive via an integrated digital marketing strategy.
Interaction
This highly complex website required a serious scope. The members area provides a number of resources including, mentor connect, fund raising event management, personalised content, symptom and treatment tracking, forums, doctor directory, document management, donations and ticketing. Members also have the option of signing up using facebook connect, hooking Generation Rescue into their social space.
With the first stage complete the new Generation Rescue website is already proving an essential
and much welcomed destination. It offers extensive quality information, qualified and guidance
resources, and a community network for shared support and mentoring. The next stage will be to
incorporate an integrated donations, event management, ticketing and online store.
Impact
The Generation Rescue rebrand and redevelopment was launched during Autism Awareness Month. It had an immediate impact, signing-up over 1800 members within the first week. For the first time members of the Autism community could get peer-to-peer advice and find support from families working through similar problems. The metrics received from the online daily logs for Generation Rescue’s successful Grant Programme have statistically proven what they have known for a long time, that Autism can be controlled and children can recover.
